Programmes By Qualifications:-

          (i) After 10th:-

                        DIPLOMA :- The Diploma in Engineering, also Diploma of Engineering or Diploma in Technical Education are programmes focused on practical and skills-oriented training. It is a technical degree that only covers the essentials when ranked with an undergraduate engineering degree. It aims to provide students with industry or job related engineering knowledge, scientific skills, computing & analysis, mathematical techniques, a sound knowledge of English to communicate in the field and ability to apply problem solving techniques.

Its duration 3 years. Many countries in the world recognize it as equivalent to Pre-Engineering or Bridging course when considered for continuing studies in engineering related bachelors or  associate degree programmes. After successful completion of Diploma in engineering course, students can either continue further Engineering studies in undergraduate level or specialize in certain fields with an advanced diploma. Diploma holders gets employment as technicians, technologists, supervisors, superintendents, foremen, machinist, workshop technicians, draughtsman, station technicians (energy,thermal, aeronautical), automobile technicians, maintenance & service technicians, equipment mechanics and technicians , CAD/CAM  programmer , agricultural overseers, instrument technicians, junior instructors, manufacturing, tool and die designers, electricians,etc.

In most of the countries one can apply for studying diploma in engineering degree after completion of 10th grade or after higher secondary school certificate or twelfth grade. Those who have a twelfth grade certificate in PCM require only to complete two years technical training excluding first year physics, chemistry, mathematics inter science level subjects.

ELIGIBILITY FOR B. TECH. COURSE
The minimum academic qualification for admission to Diploma program in Rajasthan is a pass in the final examination of 10 (Class X) of Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan or any other examination recognized equivalent thereto by Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan/ Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR 12th (XII) PCM HOLDERS
Admissions are open for the students who have completed their 12th in PCM and want to go for engineering further. Those, who have passed their 12th are eligible to get direct admission in engineering II Year. One, who fulfills the same criteria, can apply for admission, for which he has to come directly to the college and complete the formalities required as per the rules and regulations of BTER.

 

(ii) After 12th:-

ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR UNDER GRADUATE (B. TECH.) COURSES IN ENGINEERING
As per the guidelines of the State Government & State Common Entrance Process Authority i.e. Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process, (REAP) for Under Graduate courses in Engineering is as under :

As per the existing policy of the State Government, as applicable in the year – 2018, the admissions in various under graduate programmes were made under three different quotas namely (i) All India Quota (15% of sanctioned intake) (ii) State Quota (70%) the general quota is inclusive of SC/ST/OBC reservation and (iii) Management Quota (15%).

ELIGIBILITY FOR B. TECH. COURSE
The minimum academic qualification for admission to B.Tech./B.E. program in Rajasthan is a pass with atleast 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to �SC/ST/ Non Creamy Layer OBC/ Non Creamy Layer SBC of Rajasthan state) in the subjects combination as given below taken together, in the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) of Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan or any other examination recognized equivalent thereto by Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan/ Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

·         Subject combination required in the qualifying examination for admission to B.Tech./B.E. courses shall be as under :

NOTE: Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination (10+2) in 2018 may also apply.
AGE LIMIT : Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1988 are eligible. However, in the case of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years, i.e. SC, ST and PH candidates who were born on or after October 01, 1983 are eligible. Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education mark sheet / certificate only will be taken as authentic.

(iii) After Diploma: – Admissions are open for the students who have completed their Polytechnic Diploma and want to go for engineering further. Those, who have passed their diploma with Minimum 45% Aggregate, are eligible to get direct admission in engineering II Year. One, who fulfills the same criteria, can apply for admission, for which he has to come directly to the college and complete the formalities required as per the rules and regulations of RTU.

(iv) After Graduation:-  M.Tech  

SITE professed aim is to make a substantial contribution to the education system of the region and contribute in areas of research, development and technology. The Institute offers 2-years Master of Technology Degree, duly approved by AICTE & RTU. SITE is also affiliated to the Rajasthan Technical University.The annual intake is 54.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission:-

Admissions for the session 2017-18 will be based on of valid and eligible GATE Score of the year 2015/2016/2017 preferably. However, candidates without GATE score but possessing B.E./B.Tech. can also apply. Candidates appearing in qualifying degree examinations in the academic session 2017- 18 and possessing valid GATE score card need to submit the marks sheet of qualifying degree examination at the time of reporting to the allotted institute positively, failing which their candidature shall be cancelled. A candidate must ensure their eligibility for admission in various M.Tech./M.Arch. programmes in the affiliated institutions and University teaching departments of RTU Kota before filling up the application form of CAM-2018. If a non-eligible candidate is admitted due to any reason then the admission of such candidate will be cancelled even at the later stage.

Minimum Qualification Required:-

Candidates seeking admission for M.Tech. programme must ensure following minimum qualification.

(i) A candidate must hold B.E./B.Tech. degree in appropriate discipline mentioned from RTU or any other recognized University/Institution or any other examinations recognized as equivalent thereto by competent authority.

(ii) Candidate must have minimum 55% (6.25 CGPA on 10 points scale and equivalent) marks in the qualifying degree examination (5% or 5.75 CGPA on 10 points scale of relaxation is admissible for SC/ST candidates). If a recognized university has an approved conversion formula of CGPA into percentage then it will be applicable on producing the certificate of conversion from the concerned University. Otherwise AICTE approved conversion formula will be used i.e. Equivalent CGPA = Percentage/10 + 0.75. ÇAM 2017 Information Brochure Page 7

(iii) Candidates with qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional societies recognized by MHRD/UGC/AIU/UPSC/AICTE {e.g. AMIE by Institute of Engineers (India); AMICE by Institute of Civil Engineers (India); IEE} as equivalent to B.E./B.TECH.

(iv) Candidates having M.Sc., MCA and are seeking admission to certain M.Tech. Programmes should posses valid and qualified GATE score of the relevant branch. The equivalency of any degree for admission to any programme will be decided by University.
